It is with great excitement that we can announce that the 2024 Centra Crosshaven Challenge returns this year.

14^th September 2024 @ 2.45pm

We look forward to welcoming back competitors who have supported our event for many years and also new competitors who might be doing our triathlon for the first time.

We are planning on making this a fun event as well as been a competitive one … its time to celebrate the 21 year mark and to celebrate our wonderful village ♥

Since commencing in 2003 the Centra Crosshaven Challenge has gone from strength to strength. It has gone from hosting 7 teams of 3 athletes, to more recently accommodating over 300 triathletes, making it one of the most successful triathlons in the country. It is also now recognised as one of the best run events on the triathlon calendar.

The event is sponsored by Barry’s Centra Crosshaven, and all funds raised from the Triathlon are donated to local Charities, Groups, Clubs and initiatives, to aid the development of our local community. (See Beneficiaries for full list)

To date the Centra Crosshaven Challenge has raised over €200,000 for the local community and this year’s entries will increase the total fund further.

The Triathlon consists of a 500-meter swim followed by 10 kilometre cycle finishing with a 5 kilometre run, The event caters for all standards and includes some of the top tri-athletes in the country as well as first time competitors and people out to enjoy themselves.
